1. Commitment
Accessibility is part of AttestVoice's product, and we are committed to making our services accessible to everyone as required by the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013 (regulation 35). This statement is displayed prominently — in the footer of every page of the site and the app.
2. Scope and technologies
The statement covers the marketing site (every page in Hebrew and English, including the legal pages and the help centre) and the AttestVoice application (sign-in, files, transcript editor, account, live transcription, guides, public tools). Technologies relied upon: HTML5, CSS3 (logical properties, no direction assumptions), WAI-ARIA 1.2, JavaScript (React/Next.js). User-uploaded content (recordings and transcripts) is presented in accessible infrastructure; the content itself belongs to the user (regulation 35b).
3. Conformance level and standard
- Standard: Israeli Standard IS 5568 part 1 (September 2023), which adopts WCAG 2.0 level AA with national changes; we target WCAG 2.2 level AA as a superset, plus 4.1.1 (parsing) and 2.4.10 (section headings) required by IS 5568.
- Claimed conformance level: AA — except for the limitations listed in section 6.
- Accessibility date: August 2026 (full audit round, 12 findings fixed) with additions in September 2026.
- Guidelines: WCAG 2.2, IS 5568 (Standards Institution of Israel).
4. Adjustments made
- Full keyboard operation: skip-to-content link, visible focus states, transcript segments editable with Enter/F2.
- Semantic structure: one main heading per page and a continuous heading hierarchy (tested automatically on the site and in the app), labelled navigation and content regions, labelled forms.
- AA colour contrast in light and dark mode; language and direction identification (`lang`, `dir`) for Hebrew and English, including the language switch.
- Display adaptations chosen by the user and remembered in the browser: high contrast, larger text, reduced motion (in addition to honouring the system `prefers-reduced-motion` preference).
- Status and error messages announced to screen readers; icons always accompanied by text or an accessible label.
- Automated checks (axe-core) on every page, in both colour modes and in high-contrast mode: on the marketing site — in both languages, on every code change (CI), together with the markup and heading-hierarchy checks; in the application — before every release, against the full system (that scan needs the full environment and is not part of CI).
5. Screen readers tested
A human screen-reader test has not yet been performed. Testing so far is automated (axe-core) plus automated keyboard checks. Testing with NVDA and JAWS in Chrome and Firefox, and with VoiceOver on mobile, is planned under a shared test brief; this statement will be updated with the results. We do not claim compatibility with a screen reader that has not been tested.
6. Known limitations and exemptions
- DOCX and PDF documents produced by the system (court transcript, annexes, reports): generated with structural tagging and a document language (Hebrew for a Hebrew document), and the system checks on every export that the tagging is actually present; full PDF/UA conformance has not been verified with an external checker. Alternative accommodation: every document is also available as DOCX and as plain text (TXT).
- Display adaptations (high contrast, larger text, reduced motion) require JavaScript; without it the default display is shown, which itself meets level AA.
- Live transcription: the updating text is announced in a live region; in long meetings the announcement rate may be high.
- No exemption under regulation 35f is used.
7. Accessibility coordinator
The duty to appoint an accessibility coordinator (section 19mb of the law) applies to employers of 25 or more employees and does not apply to AttestVoice at this stage. Accessibility enquiries are handled directly by management through the channel in section 8.
8. Contact channel and remedy procedure
Hit an accessibility barrier, or need an adjustment or information in an alternative format? Write to accessibility@attestvoice.com. Every enquiry receives a reference, an initial reply and an immediate alternative accommodation where possible, and the barrier is fixed within 60 days as required by regulation 35a(d). The full procedure is documented internally (A11Y_REMEDY_PROCEDURE).
9. Statement date
